In the new millennium, customer service has become increasingly important to us. We started our major customer service programme with UBS Switzerland in 2003. For this we took over responsibility for 1,400 installations: 600 Gilgen installations and 800 installations from other manufacturers. This was the beginning of our major customer service programme and the first time we began to handle other manufacturers’ installations. Our partnership with UBS continues today.
For the NRLA, we were awarded a major contract for 200 tunnel gate drive systems in 2003. The New Rail Link through the Alps, with three new base tunnels through the Alps and expansion of the access routes, will bring the north and south of Switzerland and Europe closer together.
