In 1961, in a small garage in Schwarzenburg, Jakob Gilgen Senior laid the foundation for the globally active company we know today. As a one-man company, he manufactured the first automatic drive systems for doors and gates (cone) one by one and installed them on his customers’ premises.
Today, as Gilgen Door Systems, we offer drive systems and complete door and gate systems. We are hard at work for our customers every day, worldwide, with over 1,000 employees.
